This is my final and completed version of my magazine front cover. I kept the cover uncluttered so that the main image is able to be the main focus point and be able to draw the audiences attention. I tried to keep the colours in the picture quite dark and darkened some using Photoshop. I did this because I wanted to show the horror of the film through the picture and also creates a nice contrast and helps the text stand out. I wanted a different font between the one talking about my film and the font talking about other articles in the magazine. I decided to use a font that would be stereotypically used for something within the horror genre and just a simple font for the cover lines. The colours contrast with the darkness of the photo but match the colour of the wooden beam running across the cover. I achieved this by using a colour taking tool on Photoshop to make the magazine feel like one connected image with no colours picked at random.
I want the use of media convergence to be possible within my film. This is why I put the android scanning square at the bottom of the cover to allow smartphone owners to scan the cover and be taken to website of my magazine.
